Default Ritualist Spike for HA/GVG

Hi guys,

Well this is going to be my first attempt at a ritualist spiker. I hear a lot of ppl saying Rituatlists really lack the damage and aren't too useul. I want to put an end to this.

This is very rough draft. Something I just came up with more or less off the top of my head. Some are obvious and some are what I think somewhat clever hehehe... hopefully anyways. If you don't think its viable thats cool just give me a reason why and Ill be happy to scrap and start fresh.

This has to be teamed up with at least 3 other Ritualist spikers, 2 Monk backline and 2 Warriors up front. This is how I envision it.

So complete team would be:
4 Ritualist Spikers
2 Warrior
2 Monk

Of course I really have no idea how this part would work in practice since factions isn't out yet but thats just how I see it. This could quite possibly change. Maybe 4 spikers isn't enough. Maybe its too much... I don't know but thats not what this post is about. I want to know if my build has any potential. Personally I think its better than the Necro blood spikes I see going around but I was never a huge fan of those anyways.

We have all seen what the Obs Flame Spikers can do, now lets see what the ritualists are made of.

Without further adue, heres the build (Note. I put it as a pic because it gives details of all the skills and how much damage it does. I thought this would be beneficial since most ppl don't know all the skills.) The skill missing in the 7th slot is Res Sig. Before ppl post that I only have 7 skills

The biggest thing to note about this build is the addition to Offering of Blood and Blood Ritual for energy management. OoB is awesome! Before there could be some energy management issues with the build. So with this it allows the spikers to get a lot of energy back very quickly. With Blood Ritual, you can get even more energy mgmt from other teammates if you are low. Regular +4 Energy and an additional +3 adds up VERY fast. The loss of life shouldn't be a huge deal because of the Monks and its not like you are going to use them all at once to put yourself into danger of dying. This is just to get your energy up and running. Maybe both is overkill Im not too sure. I guess thats why Im posting but I like the theory. Another possibility that I thought of is having a secondary as Ele and using Ether Prodigy. The problem with this is that Its Energy Storage, so you will only ever get 5 seconds max. Ritual is a requirement to be the primary so that I can really dish out enough damage needed for the spike. So Im not sure really what is best, but this is what Im going with for now to at least practice (come this weekend! Can't wait!!)

This build is going to require a lot of teamwork and practice like all good high lvl pvp builds. Timing is going to be essential but properly done it could deal a HUGE amount of damage in a very short amount of time.

So thats about it for my ranting, what do you think?

Almost forgot. The attributes are:

Channelling 16 (sup Rune +3, headpiece +1)
Blood 12

Tbh i think the Spirit Rift is way too obvious. The moment you cast that an infuse or SBer is gonna be waiting, that or they'll just move naturally. Doubt you'd be able to inflict enough damage before you got killed.

Grasping Was Kurrong might be a lot better to use, even if its just 1 or 2 of you. That way you could knockdown a lot of people, initiate the spike w/ Rift then let go of the rest of the rest of the items to cause massive damage along with a few spells.

Well I know what you mean that spirit rift is obvious. But tbh every spike team is kinda obvious. If I look at the beginning and see 7 N/mo I know its Blood spike before they even cast their first skill. Also, yes they are probably going to move but I think this will most likely be used against people in Melee. Maybe using 3 Ritualist for spike and having more Warriors would do the trick, Im not sure how to build the team yet to be honest. But if they are slowed (via Ele) or in Melee and can't really move... or crippled Via ranger, that would have a hard time getting away.

Still, you could be right and its possible Spirit Rift is just not that good, like it is on paper. Over the weekend if I manage to get factions Ill give it a try and see what happens. In the meantime I'd love other peoples opinion. Thanks for your input.
